Statewide ballot measure · Tuesday, November 3, 2026
State Question 7: Voter identification (Initiative Petition C-02-2023)
Would require in-person voters to show photo identification from a list in the measure (such as a Nevada driver's license, state or federal ID, U.S. passport, military, tribal or Nevada public college student ID), and mail voters to provide the last four digits of their Nevada driver's license or Social Security number, or a number assigned at registration. A constitutional amendment proposed by initiative must be approved at two consecutive general elections; this question was approved in 2024 and is on the 2026 ballot for the second vote.
What a vote means
- A yes vote
- Official explanation: A “Yes” vote would amend Article 2 of the Nevada Constitution to require in-person Nevada voters present certain identification and mail ballot voters to provide certain information in order to cast a legal ballot.
- A no vote
- Official explanation: A “No” vote would keep the Nevada Constitution in its current form.
