Cody Harris is the sitting State Representative for District 8 in the Texas Legislature, a district that includes all or part of Anderson, Cherokee, Henderson and Navarro counties.

Cody Harris has represented Texas House District 8 since 2019 and chaired the Natural Resources Committee in the 89th Legislature, where he authored HJR 7 and sponsored SB 7 on state water infrastructure funding. He also sponsored SB 2308 on ibogaine treatment research and worked on HB 14 creating the Texas Advanced Nuclear Development Office.
