Nathaniel "Nate" Fritzen is a longtime Manassas resident who holds an associate degree in political science from Northern Virginia Community College and works in a food-service supervisory role covering budgeting, inventory and operations. He previously served with the College Republican Federation of Virginia and was the Republican nominee for Manassas City Treasurer in 2025, receiving about 34% of the vote.

Sonia Ruth Vasquez Luna came to the United States from El Salvador in 2001 and moved to Manassas in 2010. She holds business administration degrees from Northern Virginia Community College and the National Labor College and is the first Hispanic person elected to the Manassas City Council.
